Seeking Families Willing to Host Students

The Charles F. Patton Middle School will be hosting 18 students and 2 teachers from China for two weeks – Saturday January 29th to Saturday February 12th 2011. We are in need of families that are willing to open their home to host a student or teacher.

  • 18 students (7 Boys, 11 Girls) 2 teachers (1 male, 1 female)
  • Host family can host 1-3 students of the same gender and/or teacher (teacher can stay in the same home with a student as well)
  • Participants can share the bedroom
  • Host family provides three meals a day and transportation to/from school (can be school bus if applicable)

The following information outlines the tentative planned two week time period:

29 Jan
Students arrive at Patton Middle School, meet host families and join in family activities for the weekend

31 Jan -4 Feb
Students attend classes at Patton Middle School


5 Feb
City of Philadelphia tour (host family drops off students approximately 8:30 am at Patton and picks up approximately 5:00pm at Patton


6 Feb
Join host family weekend activities


7-11 Feb
Students attend classes at Patton Middle School


12 Feb
Farewell to host family
