Imagine Brandywine

The Patton Art Department is honored to announce that we will exhibit 160 pieces of student work at the Brandywine River Museum June 8-October 8th. The Imagine Brandywine student show will run in conjunction with the Andrew Wyeth Retrospective.

Submit Artwork for the Fair!

Keep your child's artwork in mind for our Unionville Community Fair in October!  Students can enter artwork in multiple categories. Find further details at www.ucfairinc.org. The entry date is Wednesday, October 4 from 2:30 PM to 9:00 PM in the red barn behind Landhope Farms. Judging is Thursday, October 5.

Planner Cover Contest!

Thanks to all the students who entered this year's Patton Planner Cover Contest. And congratulations to our winners, Julia Vaughn (front cover), Francille Zhuang (back cover) and Angelina Jin (Patton Postcard). These three winners were announced at Friday's Pep Rally -- #PattonProud!

Great Books To Read!

Great News! The 2017-18 Reading Olympics Book List is now available on the Patton Middle School Library Webpage. Start planning your summer reading. You don't have to join the team to read the books. There are some great titles, so check out the library web page for more info.

Student Council News

Check out these Student Council Accomplishments for the 2016-2017 School Year! They sponsored the Fall Canned Food Drive for the Kennett Food Bank, the Winter Book Drive to support the UHS Book Sale (2000 books collected), Spirit Weeks and Domino’s Pizza Day! Some additional achievements include, the Service Project to Kennett Head Start Program, MC for the Pep Rallies, created a Makerspace committee to meet and work with Mr. Marshall and Mrs. Rafferty to order supplies, create challenges and plan for next year. The Council also allocated funds for Makerspace, Writers Day, the Outdoor Benches, Dance Troupe on Heritage Day, a new Sound System, Classroom Furniture, a new paper cutter, prizes for the Airplane Contest and Knowledge Bowl Equipment. Well done Patton Student Council!

Transition Camp 2017

Patton will be holding a “Transition Camp” for all incoming 6th grade students on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. Transition Camp provides students fun activities designed to make students more comfortable in the middle school setting. These activities include meeting various staff members, understanding class schedules, successfully opening lockers, learning cafeteria routines, negotiating the building, and making new friends. The cost of “Transition Camp” is $25.00 per child and this fee includes lunch. If your child is interested in “Transition Camp” please download and complete this form.

7th Grade Writing Contest

Congratulations to the winners of our 7th grade writing contest, held in conjunction with Writer's Day!
